All of your documentation needs are now in one place.
A new chapter in the 2013 edition of NFPA 72®, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, is dedicated to the documentation of requirements for new and existing systems. The code "clearly spells out for building owners what they must submit when the authority having jurisdiction requires system documentation," says columnist Wayne D. Moore in the latest issue of NFPA Journal.
For example, within one of the subsections of NFPA 72 is a 14-item list that the documentation must include for fire alarm and emergency communication systems, for both new systems and additions or alterations to existing systems.
Read Moore's column for more details on these new requirements.
